Market Overview
Since the Markets began in 2017, our goal has been to promote our local creative community while developing a marketplace where people can purchase uniquely crafted items. Please take your time to review these terms and conditions and ensure you sign and return this form to Arlene’s, preferably when you pay your Booth Fee.
Makers Booth Space Sizes and Regulations

Location: The Fall Makers Market at Arlene's will be held outside, behind the store, in our parking lot.

Booth Size: Maximum of 10 feet by 10 feet. Makers cannot exceed their allotted booth space.

Setup Requirements: Booth spaces do not include tables, chairs, or tents. Makers are responsible for bringing their own tables, chairs, tents (which must be secured in windy conditions), lighting, promotional materials, and display apparatus.

Space Limitations: Makers cannot increase the size of their space artificially. You can create wall space with easels, bins, or other props but cannot exceed the designated size of the booth.

Booth Assignments: Selecting Makers, booth assignments, and market design are at the sole discretion of Arlene's Artist Materials. Arlene's reserves the right to make changes in booth assignments and/or Market configuration at any time.
Maker Responsibilities

Original Merchandise: All art or merchandise must be original and made by the individual or business accepted to the Makers Market at Arlene's.

Approved Work: All merchandise on display must be from a Maker approved by our advisory committee during our application period. Arlene's reserves the right to have any unapproved work removed during the market.

Pricing: All merchandise must be priced in US dollars, clearly shown next to or on the merchandise during the entire Market.

Professional Display: All artwork or merchandise must be professionally displayed. Work may NOT be stacked against walls or on the ground to avoid damage.

Customer Service: Each Maker is responsible for all customer service and money transactions. Arlene’s Artist Materials, Inc. is not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen goods.

Clean-Up: Booth space MUST be free and clear of all trash and support materials at the end of the market. Please leave your space as you found it.
Set-Up and Take-Down Times

Set-Up Times: The Market will be set up in three rows in the back parking lot of Arlene’s. To ensure a smooth setup process:

Makers in the back row (on the grass) must arrive at 9:00 AM.

Makers in the middle row must arrive at 9:30 AM.

Makers in the front row must arrive at 10:00 AM.

Market Activities: Begin at 11:00 AM.

Leaving Time: Makers must stay in their space until 3:30 PM. Under NO circumstances are they permitted to leave early or leave their space unattended. Makers can leave after 3:30 PM but are encouraged to stay until the end of the Market at 4:00 PM. Arlene’s is open till 5:00 PM on Saturdays, and all Makers must be cleared out before then. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Fees

Booth Space Fee: $40 non-refundable, $35 for current Arlene’s Members.

Payment: Makers will be sent a link to pay the booth fee online. Otherwise, payments can be made in person at Arlene’s Artist Material, 57 Fuller Rd, Albany, NY 12205, or by calling (518) 482-8882 during business hours. The fee must be paid by 5:00 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024. If the fee is not paid by this time, the space will be considered forfeit, and Arlene’s reserves the right to give the space to another applicant.
