Terms and Conditions for Participation in the Arlene’s Student Art Show

Eligibility: Participants must have taken or be currently enrolled in a class or workshop at the Atelier at Arlene’s.

Original Artwork: All artwork must be original and created solely by the submitting artist. Reproductions or plagiarized work will not be accepted.

Submission Requirements:

Each artist may submit only one piece of artwork.

The artwork does not need to be created during a class/workshop, nor does it need to align with the medium of the class/workshop.

All media, themes, and styles are welcome, and there are no size requirements.

The submitted image must be of the exact artwork to be displayed. Changes or substitutions will not be permitted.

Framing and Presentation:

Artwork must be properly framed, wired, and equipped with secure hanging hardware.

Clip frames or frames with sawtooth hangers will not be accepted.

All work must be clearly labeled on the back with the artist’s name, title, medium, price, email, and phone number.

File Submission:

Image files submitted as part of the application must be at least 300 dpi.

Files must be labeled in the following format: FirstLastName_Title.jpg or FirstLastName_Title.png.

Sales and Commission:

All artwork submitted may be available for sale at the discretion of the artist.

The artist will receive 60% of the sale price, and a 40% commission will be retained by the R Gallery at Arlene’s.

Payment for sold artwork will be issued after the show concludes.

Artwork Delivery and Pickup:

Artwork must be dropped off on the specified date and time: Friday, January 31, 2025, between 1:00 and 2:00 pm.

Artwork must be picked up on the specified date and time: Friday, February 28, 2025, between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.

Arlene’s will not be responsible for storing uncollected work beyond the pickup deadline.

Liability: While every effort will be made to handle artwork with care, Arlene’s and its affiliates are not liable for any damage, loss, or theft of artwork during the exhibition.

Rights and Reproduction: Arlene’s reserves the right to photograph and promote submitted artwork for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes related to the exhibition.

Agreement to Guidelines: By submitting this application, the artist agrees to comply with all terms and conditions outlined above. Arlene’s reserves the right to decline artwork that does not meet these guidelines.
