Eligibility:

Open to anyone who has taken or is currently enrolled in a class or workshop at the Atelier at Arlene’s.
Artwork Requirements:

All artwork must be original and created by the submitting artist.

Work does not need to be created during a class/workshop or in the medium of the class/workshop.

Any media, theme, and style are allowed.

Artists may submit one piece of artwork.

There is no size requirement.
Submission Process:

Online Form Submission (Required):

All artists must complete an online submission form before the drop-off date.

The form will ask for:
-
A photo of the artwork

Title, medium, dimensions, year created, and price (remember to include the 40% commission to R Gallery at Arlene’s).

Artists must also agree to our Terms and Conditions to participate (SEE BELOW).

Labels:
-
Information from the online form will be used to create artwork labels. These labels will be matched to each piece during drop-off.
Show Location & Timeline:

Exhibition Venue: William K. Sanford Town Library, 629 Albany Shaker Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211.

Artwork Drop-Off: Friday, January 31, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Show Installation: Friday, January 31, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

Artwork Pick-Up: Friday, February 28, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Framing & Presentation:

Properly framed and wired with secure hanging hardware.

Clip frames or frames with sawtooth hangers will NOT be accepted. No exceptions.

Each piece must have a label on the back with (NOTE: This info needs to match the info provided on the online form):

Sales & Commission:

Artists will receive 60% of the sale price. A 40% commission goes to the R Gallery at Arlene’s.

Arlene’s Student Art Show Application Guidelines
We invite eligible artists to submit their work for the Arlene’s Student Art Show! All artwork must be original and created by the submitting artist. The work does not need to be created during a class or workshop, nor does it need to be in the medium of the class/workshop. Artists may submit one piece of artwork, and all media, themes, and styles are welcome with no size requirement. All work must be properly framed and wired with secure hanging hardware; clip frames and frames with sawtooth hangers will not be accepted. The image submitted must be the same work that will be displayed—no exceptions. Image files should be at least 300 dpi and labeled in the following format: FirstLastName_Title.jpg or FirstLastName_Title.png. Arlene’s reserves the right to decline any work that does not meet the guidelines. Artists cannot participate without first submitting this online application, including an image of the piece that will be shown.
