Atelier Instructor
The Atelier at Arlene’s is inviting proposals from skilled artist educators interested in conducting workshops for the year 2024 and beyond. Our comprehensive studio curriculum focuses on a well-rounded approach, encompassing technical skill development, conceptual exploration, and contemporary applications of traditional media and methodologies. The studio program features a diverse range of workshops covering various drawing and painting media, printmaking, craft-based projects, sculpture, and professional development opportunities. Join us in fostering creativity and education through engaging workshops.

Artist in Residence
The Artist In Residence (AIR) Program at Arlene’s offers a comprehensive year-long residency in Albany, NY, providing artists with dedicated time, studio space, and a nurturing community to refine their artistic vision. Designed for multidisciplinary artists, the program integrates with various offerings at Arlene’s, ensuring a well-rounded residency experience. Our goal is to cultivate individual artists while enhancing the local creative community by exposing them to diverse processes and works. AIR participants will develop a cohesive body of work showcased at the R Gallery at Arlene’s, receive studio space, contribute to our Atelier at Arlene’s program, attend classes or workshops, and automatically participate in Makers Markets. An Artist Talk is expected, offering insights into their residency journey. Applications are juried for quality and the candidate's commitment to community engagement.
