We're thrilled to invite all students from the Atelier at Arlene's to participate in our third annual Student Art Show. This group exhibition promises to be a celebration of creativity, featuring original artwork from those who have enriched their skills through our classes or workshops.
Important Dates:
Exhibition Dates: February 2, 2024, to February 24, 2024 Opening Reception: February 2, 2024, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm
Submission Guidelines:
To ensure a seamless and diverse display of talent, please adhere to the following guidelines for participation:
Eligibility: Any individuals who have taken or are currently enrolled in a class or workshop at the Atelier at Arlene’s are eligible to participate.
Originality: All submitted artwork must be original and created by the eligible artist.
Submission Limit: Each participating artist can submit one piece of art.
Forms: Artists must complete a Student Art Show Artwork Drop-Off Form & Artist Agreement Form. Download the Form Here.
Size Restrictions:
Maximum size for 2D artwork: 8x10” or 8x8” with a framed outside dimension no larger than 9x11” or 9x9”.
Maximum size for sculptural artwork: 9” x 9” x 9”.
Media and Theme: Artwork is open to any media and theme, and it doesn't have to be created in the class or workshop you attended.
Drop-Off Period: Artwork can be dropped off from January 13, 2024, to January 20, 2024, during store hours.
Framing and Hanging: All 2-dimensional work must be properly framed and ready to hang with appropriately installed hanging hardware at the time of drop-off.
Special Instructions: Artists with complicated installation instructions, including sculptural work, must contact the Curator, Andrew, at arlenesartist@gmail.com, before drop-off to make necessary arrangements.
Labeling: All artwork must be clearly labeled on the back with the artist’s name, title, medium, price, email address, and phone number.
Sales Commission: Artists will receive 60% of the sale, with a 40% commission to the R Gallery at Arlene’s.
Artwork Pick-Up: Artwork pick-up starts Monday, February 26, 2024, during store hours.
