Understanding Color with Takeyce Walter

Join us for an illuminating workshop where seasoned painters and beginners alike can deepen their understanding of color and elevate their artwork to new heights. Led by award-winning artist Takeyce Walter, this immersive experience will demystify the complexities of color theory and empower you to create harmonious masterpieces in any media.

Through engaging discussions and hands-on exercises, you'll revisit the fundamentals of color theory, gaining valuable insights into color relationships, temperature, and value. Discover how to harness the power of color to evoke mood, convey emotion, and capture the essence of your subject. Takeyce will guide you through creating a color wheel and mixing chart, providing practical tools for color selection and composition with one-on-one guidance as you apply these newfound skills to your artwork.

Whether you're looking to refresh your understanding of color theory or seeking to overcome creative blocks, this workshop offers a supportive environment for artistic growth and exploration. Takeyce will work with Gouache paint (opaque watercolor) during this workshop, but all media are welcome.
